Our Furniture Project for WORD. HUMMUS BAR, Canggu What happens when a client already knows exactly what they want?
We listen. We discuss. Then we build it.
For our recent project at WORD. HUMMUS BAR in Bali, the client came to WOOD & FOAM BALI with their own furniture designs and a clear vision for the space.
Our job wasn't to change that vision. It was to understand it, refine the details where our experience could help, and turn it into furniture made for the real space.
Your Idea Doesn't Have to Start in Our Workshop
Some clients come to us with a Pinterest reference.
Some have a sketch.
Some already have a complete interior design.
And some simply tell us: "I want something like this, but made for my space."
All of those are perfectly fine.
For WORD. HUMMUS BAR, the client already had their own designs. We followed their direction while providing professional recommendations where we felt certain details could work better in terms of construction, comfort, materials, durability, and everyday commercial use.
Because saying “yes, we can make it” is easy.
Knowing how to make it work well is the important part.
Custom Furniture Can Be Faster Than You Think
One of the biggest questions we receive is: “How long does custom furniture take?” The answer depends on the piece, quantity, materials, complexity, and revisions. For certain projects, we can produce one custom sofa in approximately 8 days.
But fast doesn't mean rushed. During this project, the client requested revisions and further discussions. Instead of treating those changes as a problem, we made room for them. We arranged discussions, reviewed the details again, and continued once everyone was comfortable with the direction. Because we'd rather spend more time communicating than deliver something that doesn't feel right.
WhatsApp? Google Meet? Café Meeting? Workshop Visit?
Whatever makes communication easier. Furniture is visual and detailed. Sometimes a few messages are enough. Sometimes you need to sit down, touch the fabric, compare finishes, look at dimensions, or explain an idea face-to-face. That's why our process can include:
WhatsApp discussions and progress updates
Google Meet online meetings
Meetings at your café, villa, home, or project location
Site surveys and measurements
Visits to our workshop
Fabric, material, color, and finish samples
Alternative samples you can see and compare directly
You don't need to understand every technical furniture term before contacting us.
Tell us what you're imagining. We'll help with the rest.
Samples Matter. A Lot.
A fabric can look completely different on a phone screen. Wood tones change under different lighting. And something that looks beautiful in a catalogue may not necessarily be the best choice for a busy café. That's why, whenever possible, we provide physical samples and alternative options for our clients to check directly.
See it.
Touch it.
Compare it.
Decide it.
It's a small step that can prevent a very expensive “Hmm… I thought it would look different.”
From “Can You Make This?” to “It's Ready.”
Our process is designed to keep the client involved without making things complicated.

11 — 3-Month Guarantee
And our relationship doesn't disappear the moment the furniture is delivered.
Delivered Doesn't Mean Goodbye.
For our custom furniture, we provide a 3-month guarantee under normal use, subject to our guarantee terms. Because we want our clients to feel comfortable contacting us even after delivery. For us, a successful project isn't just:
“Furniture delivered. Done.”
It's when the furniture fits the space, the design feels right, the client is happy, and everyone involved can look at the finished result and say: “Yes. That's what we wanted.”
The Best Projects Start With Good Communication.
That was one of our favorite parts of working on WORD. HUMMUS BAR.
The client communicated.
They asked questions.
They reviewed.
They gave feedback.
And we listened.
Because custom furniture shouldn't feel like ordering something and hoping for the best.
It should feel collaborative.
Have your own design? Send it.
Only have a reference photo? Send it.
Still figuring out what you want? Let's discuss it.
From one special sofa for your home to furniture for a café, restaurant, villa, hotel, or complete interior project, every project deserves the same attention.
You bring the vision.
We bring the craftsmanship.
Together, we make it real.
